Chicory With Ham And Cheese From The Oven
Dutch chicory with ham, cheese, potato slices, celeriac and bechamel sauce from the oven.
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.
Cut the underside of the stalk chicory and cut the chicory lengthwise into quarters.
Divide the potato slices over the bottom of the oven dish. Peel the celeriac and cut into pieces.
Grate the celeriac with a grater or in the food processor. Divide half over the potato slices.
Wrap each piece of chicory in a slice of ham. Place the rolls tightly together in the oven dish.
Spread the rest of the celeriac over it. Pour the bechamel sauce evenly over it and sprinkle with the cheese.
Fry the dish in the middle of the oven for about 40 minutes until golden brown and done. Cover with aluminum foil if the cheese gets too dark.
