Herbal Wisdom: Celery

  1. Celery is actually both an herb and a vegetable. This is because celery can be divided into three different types, namely: celery leaf, celery and celeriac. The first variety, the celery leaves, is the kind that can be used as a spice in and on dishes and the other two, the bleach and celeriac, are the types that are seen and used as vegetables. The so-called coumarins and acetylenicides that can neutralize free radicals and thus indirectly prevent the development of cancer. These are all reasons to enjoy celery with peace of mind, whatever kind it is that you prefer.
