Quinoa, superfood or nonsense?

Quinoa is one of the obscure superfoods. It would be especially good for athletes and vegetarians, as the seed contains a lot of protein. Not eating meat can cause a shortage of this. Like the goji berry, quinoa was used a long time ago, some 5,000 years ago. But is the quinoa really that healthy, or can you just as well eat an apple and a pear?

Quinoa is considered to be very healthy and a very new type of food. But in Peru, the country where a lot of quinoa is grown, the seeds are not so great at all. It is seen as food for the poor. Farmers eat it because they don't grow anything else and cannot get food so easily. Most people don't even like it because it tastes very bitter. It seems that this is a Western hype, which has not come about because people have found out how beneficial the powers of the seed are, but by people who wanted to make money and can sell something like quinoa in countries like the Netherlands if "it" sacred seed of the Incas ". And then of course they charge a considerable price for it.
