Six 'bad' habits that are actually really good for you

  1. Sometimes it seems like all the nice things are bad for you at the same time. That is a pity! Fortunately, a number of 'bad' habits turn out to be good for your health. Provided you keep size, of course. Here's a list of six bad things that are actually really good for you.

Bad habit 6: Social media

  1. Let's see who has posted a status update now .. Many people cannot resist the temptation of social media. Often all that 'hanging out' on Facebook and Twitter is seen as a bad thing. But research points to the opposite. Social media is good for us. A 2010 study listed a number of social media studies. It turned out: Social media supplements existing contacts, instead of replacing them. Besides the weekly visit, grandmother and grandchildren now also have contact via Facebook. The more people are on the internet, the more contact they have with their friends. People who are often on the Internet also have more friends. Another objection to social media is that it makes people insecure. You only see photos of fantastic parties and holidays. This would make people feel insecure, because their real life isn't nearly as glamorous. Although this sounds plausible, it does not seem to work that way in practice. A survey published in 2012 indicates that only 4% of young people experience less self-confidence through social media, while 20% of young people feel just more confident. All that Facebook is not that bad at all! But here too, don't do it all day, because of course you don't want to neglect other important things.
