Bagel with tuna and cheese


Tuna with cheddar cheese on a bagel with a salad of fennel and sundried tomatoes

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.
  2. Cut the onion into thin rings. Place 10 minutes in a bowl with water, so that the taste is less sharp.
  3. Meanwhile, let the tuna drain. Mix the tuna with the mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cut the bagels horizontally in half and spread the bottom half with the tuna mixture. Grate the cheese and sprinkle a portion over the tuna.
  5. Divide the rest of the cheese over the cutting edge of the other half. Place all halves on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake approx. 3 min.
  6. Meanwhile cut the fennel into wafer-thin slices. Mix the lettuce, fennel, tomatoes, oil and the mayonnaise in a bowl.
  7. Let the onion drain in a sieve and add. Season with pepper and salt.
  8. Take the bagels out of the oven. Divide part of the salad over the lower halves. Put the top half on top. Serve the rest of the salad.
