Butter babblers
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian appetizer contains the following ingredients: vinegar, sugar, butter, salt and butter to grease.

Bring vinegar to the boil with 3 tablespoons of water in a thick pan.

Add sugar, butter and salt and stir up sugar while stirring.

Cool over low heat for about 15 minutes until thicker, light-colored mass is created that runs stringy from spoon (drop of mixture into glass of cold water should immediately harden).

Meanwhile grease the griddle.

Pour mixture onto baking tray and press into spatula with a spatula.

When mass has cooled sufficiently to be taken hold of, then cut ribbon with scissors into pieces.

Let butter babblers cool down further..
