Mussels in a zeeuwse manner
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: fish, mussels (a 2 kg), winter carrot (peeled), leeks (washed), butter, onion (in parts), dry white wine and flat parsley (20 g).

Rinse the mussels in plenty of cold water. Remove damaged shells, they are not good. Leave the mussels in the water.

Cut the winter carrot into slices and the leeks into thin rings. Let the mussels drain.

Heat the butter in a mussel or snack pan and fry the carrot and onion for 3 minutes. Add the mussels, leeks and wine. Cook the mussels with the lid on the pan for 5-8 minutes until done. Shake the pan regularly, then all the mussels are cooked at the same time.

Slice the leaves of the parsley and add in the last minute. Season the mussels with salt and pepper. Shake and remove tight shells, they may not be good.
