Pavlova with strawberries


Dessert based on meringue topped with whipped cream, strawberries and passion fruit.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150 ºC.
  2. On a piece of baking paper, draw a circle with a diameter of approx. 20 cm and place it on the baking sheet.
  3. Split the eggs and beat the egg whites in a well-clean bowl with the lemon juice.
  4. Add the sugar spoon to spoon while beating and whisk until the protein is very stiff again.
  5. Sift and whisk the cornstarch through the egg whites.
  6. Spoon the foam into the circle and push the edge up with a spoon.
  7. Put the baking sheet in the bottom of the oven and bake the foam for about 1 hour.
  8. Turn off the oven and allow the pavlova to cool in the oven.
  9. Meanwhile cut the strawberries into thin slices and drop a little lemon juice over it.
  10. Beat the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff.
  11. Place the pavlova on a dish and pour the whipped cream into the cavity.
  12. Sprinkle the slices of strawberry over the whipped cream.
  13. Halve the passion fruit and spoon the flesh over the strawberries. Serve immediately.
