Knead the egg, half of the onion, garlic, bread, thyme and salt and pepper.

Shape small meatballs.

Heat for the sauce 1 tablespoon of olive oil and fry the onion.

Add the other ingredients for the tomato sauce. Heat everything and cook gently until a thick sauce is created. Stir frequently.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and fry the meatballs around brown.

Add them to the sauce and simmer for about 15 minutes until tender.

Place them in small containers with the sauce. Remove the bay leaves.
