Apple crumble
English apple pie with shortbread dough and nuts.

Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.

Cut the butter into cubes. Knead a coherent dough of the flour, butter and sugar by hand or in a food processor.

Peel the apples, cut into quarters and remove the cores. Cut the apples above the greased oven dish into cubes.

Sprinkle with the rest of the sugar and cinnamon. Shovel. Crumble the dough and sprinkle with the coarsely chopped nuts over the apple.

Bake the crumble in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and done. Sprinkle with icing sugar.

Spoon the apple-nut crumble at the table on the plates and add a bread roll of ice cream.
