Bake the baguettes according to the instructions on the package. Let them cool slightly outside the oven and cut slanting notches on the tops for the filling.

Mix the pesto with the cream cheese. Brush the notches of 2 baguettes with this mixture.

Insert the slices of tomato and sprinkle with the spring onions or chives and pepper.
