Mix in a bowl the flour and wholemeal flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt. Push in a well with a wooden spoon.

Break the egg into the measuring cup with milk and beat the mixture smooth with the fork.

Pour the egg mixture into the dimple of the flour. Stir the flour through the egg milk from the center with the wooden spoon to create a smooth and lump-free batter. Stir in the oil.

Bake the batter in a frying pan with non-stick coating 8-10 pancakes.
