Braised ginger roots with roasted hazelnut
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: carrots, hazelnuts (à 65 g), butter and ginger syrup.

Remove green to small pieces of carrots. Washing carrots and peeling with peeler. Grate hazelnuts coarsely and roast golden brown in approx. 5 minutes in dry frying pan. Let hazelnuts cool down.

Melt butter in a large (frying pan) of butter. Add carrots and finely diced in approx. 15 minutes. Add the ginger syrup and pan gently back and forth so that syrup is well distributed. Repeat the carrots in a bowl and sprinkle with roasted hazelnuts.
