Crispy vegetable balls with satay sauce

Heat the frying oil to 180ºC.

Mix the coals with celery, garlic, spring onions, bean sprouts and carrot. Season with salt and pepper.

Mix the flour with the baking powder and sprinkle over the vegetables. Pour some stock and knead together. Add extra stock if the whole is too dry.

Roll into the vegetable mixture with 2 wet spoons or a ice-peg of bread and fry in the oil until golden brown and crispy. Drain in a colander with kitchen paper.

Prepare the satay sauce according to the instructions on the package and serve the vegetable balls with the sauce.

Sprinkle the satay sauce with seroendeng.
