Heat a layer of sunflower or peanut oil in a non-stick pan. Let the oil become hot.
Sprinkle in a layer of corn kernels (popcorn) and an equal amount of granulated sugar. Put a lid on the pan, the corn will start to pop quickly. Move the pan back and forth a little. When the popping stops, your popcorn is ready. Prepare the popcorn in portions.
Put the popcorn in a bowl, sprinkle with colored specks and shake well so that the speckles stick to the popcorn on all sides.
Let the popcorn cool down and then distribute it over nice bowls.
