Directions

  1. Sift the self-rising flour over a large bowl. Add the caster sugar and the salt.
  2. Cut the cold butter into cubes and add. Split the egg and add the egg white (the egg yolk is not used).
  3. Knead with cold hands into a cohesive dough. Wrap the dough in cling film. Allow 30 minutes to rest in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat the oven to 170 ° C.
  5. Meanwhile, peel all the apples. Remove the core and cut the flesh into cubes.
  6. Put in a bowl and add the cane sugar and the cinnamon.
  7. Finely chop the nuts and put in a bowl.
  8. Add the rest of the self-raising flour, the cane sugar and the butter.
  9. Rub a crumbly dough between your fingers. Cover with cling film and put in the refrigerator until use.
  10. Remove the tart dough from the refrigerator and spread it with your fingers over the cake pan. Also cover the raised edges.
  11. Spoon the apples in the dough-covered form. Sprinkle the dough crumbs over it.
  12. Fry the cake just under the center of the oven in 1 hour and 5 minutes until golden brown and done.
