Preheat the oven grill and put 4 plates in the oven. Roast the hazelnuts until golden brown in a dry, hot frying pan and chop them coarsely.

Cut the avocados in length and remove the seeds. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon and cut it into small cubes. Mix the avocado with the blue cheese and hazelnuts.

Grind a little pepper and fill the avocado peels with this mixture. Spoon the filling loosely, do not press.

Put the avocados together in an oven dish and spread the spiced bread crumbs over it. Grate them in the middle of the oven for about 5 minutes just before serving.

Put 2-3 avocado halves per person on the heated plates and drop some balsamic syrup along. Garnish with a piece of rocket, made with some (nut) oil.
