A tasty american recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: fish, olive oil, breakfast bacon ((200 g), thin slices), winter carrot (peeled), celery (in bows), onion (chopped), garlic (finely chopped), butter, flour, chicken broth ( cold (from tablet)), tomato cubes (400 g), saltwater shrimp (large (500 g, frozen), thawed), spring onions ((3 pieces) and in thin rings).

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the bacon for 8 min. On medium heat. Change regularly. Meanwhile, cut the winter carrot into cubes of 1 x 1 cm. Add with the celery, onion and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes. Add the butter and let it melt. Add the flour and fry for 10 minutes on low heat.
  2. Pour the stock in the pan and bring to the boil while stirring. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 1 hour on very low heat with the lid slanted on the pan.
  3. Then peel the shrimps and remove the intestinal tract. Put in the soup with the spring onions and let it cook over a very low heat for 10 minutes. Traditionally you serve the gumbo with boiled rice, but with bread it is tasty too.
