Preheat the oven to 110ºC.

Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt in a fat-free bowl with an electric mixer until peaks.

Add the sugar while beating and beat another shiny egg for another 5 minutes.

Put small heaps on the baking sheet and sprinkle with almond shavings.

Bake the meringues for an hour in the middle of the oven.

Let them cool outside the oven.

Beat the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff.

Scoop the heap out of the cloth into a bowl and gently spoon the whipped cream through it.

Divide this over 4 large glasses.
