Italian letter soup


Soup of onion, celery, carrots, passata, letter vermicelli, meatballs and basil.

Directions

  1. Cut the onion into super-small cubes. Cut the celery and the carrots into slices.
  2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the onion, celery and carrot for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, the bouillon tablet and the water and bring to the boil. Turn off the heat.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the letter vermicelli according to the instructions on the suit.
  5. Make meat minced meatballs of about 1½ cm with wet hands.
  6. Put the meatballs in the soup and let them cook in 5 minutes. Cut the basil into strips.
  7. Divide the soup over the bowls and sprinkle with vermicelli and basil. Serve with the breadsticks.
