Ingredients
Directions
-
Place the cookie crumbs in a bowl and drizzle with hot milk.
-
Stir custard powder and sugar together in a second bowl. Add a dash of milk and mix everything well. Make sure all lumps have disappeared. Bring the rest of the milk to the boil.
-
Stir the custard mixture with small bits at the same time through the hot milk.
-
Allow the custard to simmer slowly for about 1 minute with constant stirring on a moderate heat source.
-
Finally stir the macaroon crumbs through the custard. Pour the custard into a dish. If necessary, sprinkle a thin layer of sugar on the custard; that prevents a sheet from forming. Cover the custard with cling film and allow to cool.
