Directions

  1. Crumble the chocolate cake into small pieces and stir in jam until a mixture develops where you can turn balls.
  2. Now turn 20 balls of the cake and stick a stick in each ball.
  3. Put the popcakes in the freezer for an hour to allow them to stiffen.
  4. Break the chocolate bars into pieces and put them in a refractory bowl.
  5. Place the bowl over a pan of soft boiling water and ensure that the bowl does not touch the water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate has completely melted.
  6. Remove the popcakes from the freezer, dip them one by one in the melted chocolate. Remove them immediately and turn them over the top of the bowl so that all the excess chocolate drips off. Because the popcakes are frozen, the chocolate immediately becomes hard.
  7. Put the popcakes in a piece of styrofoam so that you can easily decorate them.
  8. Make glaze through a small amount of water by stirring the icing sugar until it has the right texture. With this you can stick the different decorations on the popcakes.
  9. For example, cover the top of the popcake with a little glaze and sprinkle sprinkles over it to give the Piet her.
  10. From the fondant you make the collar, beret and feather in the color of your choice. You do this by kneading the fondant and rolling it onto a worktop sprinkled with powdered sugar.
  11. Use a knife to cut out the required shapes from the fondant paste and attach them to the popcakes.
