Halve the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the marrow with the tip of a knife.

Pour the whipped cream into a bowl, add the marrow and the sugar and whisk together with a mixer. Put the cream until covered in the refrigerator.

Cut the melon into quarters and remove the seeds with a spoon. Put a piece of melon on each plate and spread the fruit over it.

Serve the vanilla cream separately or scoop over the fruit.
