Mini apple-cake tarts
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: cake mix (450 g), butter (al butter), eggs, milk, sugar, firm apple ((gold bars), in parts), walnuts, cinnamon, apricot jam and nougatine.

Mix cake mixture with butter, eggs and milk according to the instructions on the packaging. Fry the cake until golden brown in a square baking dish or a baking tin of 20x20 cm. Cut the cake into 16 squares and cut them across.

Melt butter and sugar in a thick-bottomed pan. Fry in this apple, walnuts and cinnamon, until the apple turns light brown. Spread a layer of apricot jam between the layers of cake and put the apple between them (keep some parts behind). Spread the tarts around with jam and cover the sides with nougatine. Garnish with apple and walnuts. Finally stir a tablespoon of hot water through a tablespoon of apricot jam and brush the tarts with it.
