Muffins of wholemeal flour with oatmeal and dates as a snack or breakfast dish.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. Cut the dates into small pieces. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Put the oatmeal, caster sugar and salt in a bowl and stir in the milk.
  3. Sift the flour and the baking powder above and stir until smooth. Mix in the egg, melted butter and date pieces.
  4. Place the paper cups in the cavity molds and spread the batter over the cups.
  5. Bake the oatmeal muffins in about 20 minutes until golden brown and cooked in the middle of the oven. Remove from the oven and let cool in the mold.
