Beat the eggs with half of the milk. Add the self-raising flour in portions and stir into a smooth batter. Add the rest of the milk while stirring.

Drill the cores out of the apples and peel the whole apples. Divide them into slices of 1 cm thick.

Heat the frying oil to 180ºC (the oil then emits a white vapor). Prick the apple slices on a fork, pull them through the batter and let them slide into the hot oil. Fry for 3 minutes until golden brown. Turn them over once with a fork. Remove the apple with a slotted spoon from the oil and let it drain in a paper towel coated with kitchen paper.

Mix the sugar with cinnamon powder and sprinkle the apple meal.
