Onions fritters with mint dip
- 700 gram mixed onions
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder (ketoembar)
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder (djinten)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
Spoon the onion rings into a colander, sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt and shake through it. Let stand for about 15 minutes.
Mix the ingredients for the mint dip and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Rinse the onion rings and press out the excess moisture. Heat the frying oil to 180 ° C. Mix the onions in a bowl with coriander, cumin, turmeric, red pepper and flour.
Form 12-15 round fritters (the size of a golf ball). Fry these in portions of 4-5 pieces golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and keep warm.
Serve with the mint dip and possibly with wedges of lemon.
