Oranges with dessert wine
A nice Mediterranean recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: oranges, yellow raisins, Mavrodaphne (Greek red dessert wine or red port), dry white wine, honey, cinnamon stick, cloves and peeled pistachio nuts.

Peel oranges with a sharp knife until it reaches flesh; absorb juice. Cut out orange segments between the vlies and mix the segments with orange juice and raisins. Bring Mavrodaphne, wine, honey, cinnamon stick and cloves to the boil in a saucepan and simmer for about 1 minute. Allow wine syrup to cool slightly and pour over oranges. Remove spices. Approx. Leave in refrigerator for 2 hours.

Chop pistachios finely. Distribute oranges with syrup over four slices. Sprinkle pistachios over it.
