Pea soup with stew vegetables


A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, split peas, pea soup package (400 g), potato, celery (40 g), sunflower oil and stew vegetables (500 g).

Directions

  1. Wash split peas.
  2. In a large pan, bring 1 1/2 liter of water, pea soup package and split peas with salt and pepper to the boil.
  3. Approx.
  4. Let boil for 40 minutes with occasional stirring.
  5. Potato peel, cut into cubes and add to soup.
  6. Cook the soup for another 20 minutes.
  7. Cut celery.
  8. Heat up wok oil and stew vegetables and half of celery for 5 minutes stir-fry.
  9. Remove the meat from the pan and finely chop.
  10. Add finely chopped meat and stew vegetables to soup and stir.
  11. Spread the soup over four plates and garnish with the rest of celery.
  12. Tasty with Frisian rye bread with bacon..
