Portuguese rice pudding
A tasty recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: lemon, orange, dessert rice, salt, whole milk, cinnamon stick, sugar, butter, egg yolks and cinnamon powder.

Clean the lemon and orange well and cut thin strips of approx.

5 cm from both pieces.

In a pan of rice with orange and lemon peel, bring about 5 dl of water and pinch of salt to the boil.

Let rice simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes until rice has absorbed water.

Add milk and cinnamon sticks and let them simmer for about 20 minutes until they are completely uncovered until very low heat.

Remove cinnamon stick.

Stirring sugar, butter and egg yolks through rice.

Keep stirring on low heat until egg yolks are also taken up by rice and rice is creamy.

Let it simmer slowly for about 5 minutes.

Distribute rice pudding over four dishes and put them in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.

Sprinkle with cinnamon powder just before serving..
