Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.

In a bowl, mix wholemeal flour, baking powder, caster sugar, biscuit spices, cinnamon powder and salt. Grate the orange peel thinly from the orange above the bowl.

Scoop the raisins through the batter. Grease the shape. Pour the batter into the greased form. Put the shape on the grid slightly below the center in the oven.

Bake the cake for 1 hour. Put a skewer in the cake. If this is dry, the cake is done. Bake the cake for another 10 to 15 minutes and check again.

Let the gingerbread cool for about 10 minutes, turn it on a cake rack and let it cool down further.
