Red cabbage with pomegranate juice and prunes

Heat the peanut oil or the liquid baking product in a saucepan and fry the shallots in it.

Spoon the shaved red cabbage, halved black plums and the bay leaf in which the cloves are put through. Pour in the pomegranate juice and add the butter.

Heat and simmer gently for about 1 hour without lid on the pan until the moisture is absorbed. Stir occasionally.

Remove the bay leaf with cloves and season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.

Tasty with beef, pork and chicken.
