First make the dressing (this can be done a day in advance). Puree the ingredients for the dressing into a smooth sauce.

Cut the bottom of the asparagus and cook the asparagus al dente.

Place slices of roast beef next to each other. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Divide (halved) asparagus on top and form rolls of it. Roast the nuts in a dry hot skillet.

Place the roast beef rolls on the plates. Pour the dressing around it. Sprinkle the nuts over it and garnish with a piece of lettuce.
