Peel the carrots with a peeler and cut them into four or six with a large knife. Fold the slices of ham in half lengthwise and wrap each slice of ham as a spiral around a root stalk. Put the stems upright in a wide glass.

Finely chop the parsley. Squeeze the garlic over a dish. Stir in the mayonnaise with hüttenkäse, orange zest, parsley, some freshly ground pepper and 1-2 tablespoons orange juice through. Serve the sauce as a dip at the root stalks.
