Drain the cherries. Cover the bottom of the dish with slices of cake.

Sprinkle the cherries with the kirsch and spread them over the cake in the dish.

Spread a layer of cherry jam between the remaining slices of cake and place the cake on the cherries.

Then divide the chocolate mousse over the cake, put another layer of cake on it and put the dish in the refrigerator for about 2 hours (or a day in advance).

Beat the whipped cream with the vanilla sugar and cinnamon until the mascarpone is thickened. Spread this cream over the trifle and smooth with the back of a damp spoon.

Garnish with the shaved chocolate.
