A nice English recipe. The dessert contains the following ingredients: self-rising flour, baking powder, sugar, butter (hard, in small pieces), egg (beaten), buttermilk, orange (scrubbed), raspberry jam, mascarpone and Greek yoghurt.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 225 ° C. Line the baking sheet with baking paper. Mix the self-raising flour with baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt. Rub the butter with the fingertips through the flour into fine crumbs. Add the egg and the buttermilk and mix everything into a firm dough.
  2. Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out the dough into a rectangular piece of 1 1/2 cm thick. Cut it into 8 squares.
  3. Place the scones on the baking tray. Put the baking sheet in the middle of the oven and fry the scones for about 15 minutes until golden brown and done. Let them evaporate slightly on a grate.
  4. Grate the orange peel thinly from the orange. Squeeze out the fruit. Spoon the raspberry jam into a bowl and stir in the orange zest and juice. Mix the mascarpone with the Greek yogurt in a different dish. Serve the scones with the jam and mascarpone.
