Mix the mince with the onion, 1 clove of garlic, oregano, cumin, egg and breadcrumbs and season with salt and pepper. Make 4 burgers out of it with damp hands and place it covered in the refrigerator.

Heat the sunflower oil and fry the red onion and the rest of the garlic. Add the peppers, tomatoes, chili pepper, mustard, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and a dash of water and simmer for about 10 minutes at a low setting.

Grill the burgers in a hot grill pan until golden brown in 5-6 minutes. Put the burgers in the tomato sauce and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Put the slices of cheese on the burgers for the last minute and let them melt. Serve the Sloppy Joe cheeseburger on the sandwiches with extra sauce.
