Step-by-step potato gratin
Potatoes from the oven on French recipe with whipped cream, Gruyère and nutmeg.

Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.

Peel and halve the garlic. Rub the baking dish well with the cutting edges of the garlic and then grease with half of the butter.

Peel and wash the potatoes and cut or scrape into thin slices. Stir the whipped cream and milk together in a large bowl.

Season the mixture with the nutmeg, pepper and salt.

Add the potato slices and scoop a few times, so that all slices are covered with cream.

Spoon the potato slices with a slotted spoon in the baking dish and smooth the top. Pour over the remainder of the cream mixture.

Sprinkle the potatoes with cheese and spread the rest of the butter in lumps over it.

Place the dish on the grid in the middle of the oven and let the potato gratin in 40-50 min. Golden brown and cooked.
