Clean the strawberries and cut into slices.

Spoon the strawberry slices in a bowl with the vanilla sugar and balsamic vinegar. Let them marinate for half an hour at room temperature.

Roast each person a slice of cake in a hot grill pan until nice brown stripes appear on both sides.
