Sweet potato dish with sage and pecans

Directions

  1. Steam or boil the sweet potatoes until done and mash them to puree. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Mix the mashed potatoes with the cream cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper. Put the puree in the baking dish.
  3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan and fry the sage with the breadcrumbs on medium high in about 7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Roast the pecans in a dry, hot frying pan and chop them coarsely. Mix the cookie crumbs with the bread crumbs and the pecans.
  5. Sprinkle the oven dish with this mixture and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately.
