Thick cream butter speculaas step-by-step
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian pastry contains the following ingredients: self-rising flour, dark caster sugar, biscuit and gingerbread spices, ice-cold butter and milk.

Bake flour above bowl and shovel with caster sugar, gingerbread and pinch of salt. Cut butter with two knives into flour mixture into small grains.

Completely knead into soft dough quickly with a cool hand. If dough is too dry, knead milk through it. Place dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Roll out dough dough on baking sheet covered with parchment paper or express it to a 1-2 cm thick cloth. Put the speculaas in the middle of the oven in approx. 35 minutes until tender and brown.

Take the speculaas out of the oven, let it cool down and break into large pieces.
