Winter stew with sprouts and pumpkin

Clean the sprouts and cross them at the stalk. Cut the fresh sausage into 2 cm pieces. Cut the onion into wedges.

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the sausage pieces in 3-4 minutes around brown. Spoon the sprouts, onions and pumpkin cubes through the pieces of fresh sausage and sprinkle the thyme with salt and freshly ground pepper. Bake 3-4 minutes.

Pour the beer along the edge of the pan and let it gently simmer for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables and the meat are tender. Allow some of the moisture to evaporate. Delicious with thick slices of wholegrain Batard bread.
