Wash the grapefruit peel well and cut the fruit with the skin into thin slices.

Cut into small pieces on 4 slices after the grapefruit.

Boil the grapefruit pieces and slices for 1 minute in a little water and pour them. You can repeat this process; the more you do it, the less bitter the grapefruit tastes.

Let the grapefruits drain well.

Put the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring the water to the boil.

Let it stand up until the sugar has dissolved and a substance has formed.

Add the grapefruit pieces and slices and let everything simmer for about 20 minutes on low heat.

Drain everything in a colander or on a sheet of baking paper.

Serve the grapefruit pieces and the slices at the almond bar.
