Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Divide the nuts over the baking tray and roast them in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes. Spoon them halfway.

Grate the peel of half of the orange and squeeze out the other half. Mix the nuts with the figs and orange zest.

Line the shape with parchment paper and iron it thickly with the oil. At a low setting, heat the caster sugar with the syrup and orange juice until the sugar has melted. Stir with a wooden spoon, beware of hot splashes.

Mix the butter into a sauce and stir in the nut mixture. Pour the mass into the mold and spread well with a wooden spoon or the back of a wet spoon.
