Mix in a bowl the flour with the yeast and salt. Stir in the lukewarm water and knead everything into a smooth and elastic dough.

Leave the dough covered with cling film in a warm place for 1 hour until the volume has doubled. Cut the onions into slices.

Melt the butter in a thick-bottomed pan. Fry the onions gently for about 7 minutes without coloring.

Season with pepper and salt.

Preheat the oven to 225 ° C.

Sprinkle the work surface with some flour. Roll out the dough into an elongated piece of 5 mm thick.
