Ingredients
Directions
-
Cut 100 grams butter with two knives through the flour with the sugar and a pinch of salt until they are coarse crumbs and then rub the dough smoothly with the fingers.
-
Knead half of the egg through and let it stew for half an hour in the fridge.
-
Fill the apples with the rest of the butter and sprinkle them around with some sugar and cinnamon.
-
Divide the dough into quarters and roll out the pieces on a floured sheet to a piece that is large enough to wrap the apple.
-
Put an apple on each piece of dough and fold the dough around it. This does not have to be neat, and if the dough does not fit completely, this is not bad.
-
Put the apples upside down in an oven dish and brush them with the remaining egg. Bake the apples in about 25 minutes brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
-
Tasty with a little yoghurt or custard.
