Ingredients
Directions
-
Peel the apples with a peeler. Cut the apples into quarters and cut out the cores. Cut the parts into pieces.
-
Preheat the oven to 220 ° C. Put the pieces of apple in a pan and sprinkle the vanilla sugar and cinnamon over it.
-
Pour in the apple juice. Put the lid on the pan. Put the pan on high heat and bring the moisture to the boil.
-
When the liquid boils, turn the heat down and boil the apple pieces for 10-12 minutes until they become soft and fall apart. Stir the apple pieces occasionally.
-
Melt the butter in a saucepan over a gentle heat. Meanwhile, crumble the rusks by squeezing them over a bowl. Stir in the oatmeal, sugar and butter.
-
Remove the pan from the heat and mash the apples with a pestle into a coarse pot. Or use the hand blender for a really smooth apple sauce.
-
Spoon the applesauce into the baking dish, smoothing the top.
-
Sprinkle the biscuit mixture over it. Put the dish in the middle of the oven and let the crust turn brown in 10-15 minutes.
-
Serve the apple sauce on a plate with some vanilla custard or a scoop of ice cream.
