Remove any bones and skins from the salmon. Mash the fish with the crème fraîche, ketchup and a few drops of lemon juice with a hand blender or food processor into a fine cream.

Stir in the smoked salmon and half of the dill and season with salt and pepper.

Put the artichokes on small plates or a flat dish and fill them with the salmon cream.

Put the lettuce and lay a tuft of dill on it.
