Directions

  1. Fry the bacon cubes in a dry, hot frying pan until lightly browned and crispy. Remove them from the pan.
  2. Chop half of the sage leaves and set aside.
  3. Spoon the remaining sage leaves, green beans, potato wedges and stock in a pan. Bring to the boil and cook gently for 6-7 minutes.
  4. Add the pear slices and simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Put the bacon cubes through. Sprinkle the bean stew before serving with the chopped sage.
