Beef steaks with madeira
A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, beef, onions, red pepper, butter or margarine, salt and (freshly ground) pepper, peeled tomatoes (400 ml), parsley, garlic and Madeira.

Divide the meat into 4 portions.

Peel onions and cut into half rings.

Sweet pepper, clean and cut into strips of about 5 cm.

Heat in butter.

Sprinkle meat around with salt and pepper and brown on both sides.

Remove meat from pan on plate.

Add onion and paprika to leftover shortening and bake for approx.

3 minutes.

Add tomatoes with juice and 1/2 dl of water and bring to the boil.

Parsley above it finely cut.

Peel the garlic and press it over it.

Return the meat to the pan and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours.

Stir in Madeira and cook uncovered for approx.

5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper.
